Community Conversation: Rooted in Relationship: Latina Immigration, Refugee Experience, and the Power of Early Relational Health

August 27 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

This panel brings together caregivers, community leaders, and practitioners to share stories and reflections on the Latina experience of immigration and seeking refuge in the U.S., all through the lens of early relational health.

We’ll talk about how migration shapes early parent-child relationships, what families need to feel safe and connected during big transitions, and how cultural strengths like multi-generational wisdom, storytelling, and collective care help families heal and thrive.

We’ll explore how relationships—especially in early childhood—can be both challenged and deeply strengthened by the immigrant experience, and why building systems and approaches of care that center trust, belonging, and resilience matters for and honors Latina families.

More information coming soon. Stay tuned!

This Community Conversation will take place virtually on Wednesday, 8/27/25 – Early Afternoon.
