Endorsement Process
Endorsement recognizes specialized knowledge and expertise in professionals working with expecting families, babies, and young children prenatal through five and their families. It is an internationally recognized credential offered by states and countries that are part of the Alliance for the Advancement of Infant Mental Health.
To start your Endorsement journey, use the Endorsement Overview Table, along with the corresponding Competencies, to learn what training, skills, and experiences are needed to apply for your Endorsement credential.

Submission Schedule
The deadline to submit Endorsement applications for 2024 is October 4th.
In 2025, applications can be submitted on the first Friday of each month, January through October.
Endorsement exams will be offered virtually the last week of each month.

Individual Endorsement
- Learn more about Endorsement Categories and select the Endorsement category that is a good fit for you based on your experience, education, and role.
- Register to start the Endorsement application process:
- Become a member of Washington’s AIMH here: ($80 membership fee)
- Register to complete your Endorsement application using the EASy platform. (Para completar el proceso de registro en español, siga este enlace: https://wa-aimh.myeasy.org/es) ($25 registration fee)
- Receive an email from EASy within a few days with a temporary login and an Endorsement Welcome Packet with additional instructions for getting started
- Once you have received the Welcome Packet, you can log into EASy here.
- Complete your application:
- Document your experiences to meet your Endorsement category requirements. Throughout the process our Endorsement Coordinators will be available for support and may leave comments in your application for guidance.
- Submit your application:
- Submit your completed application ($25-$400 fee, varies by Endorsement category).
- After submission, Endorsement Coordinators will review and request necessary edits. If no adjustments are needed, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a review timeline.
- Application review:
- Endorsed and trained reviewers will evaluate your application and provide feedback. This process may take up to six weeks.
- For Mental Health Mentor applicants:
- You will receive feedback and additional steps to prepare for the Endorsement exam, administered online through the Alliance for the Advancement of Infant Mental Health.
- Endorsement:
- You will receive an email confirming your Endorsement and your name will be added to the Endorsement Registry. Congratulations!
- Maintain your Endorsement:
- Continue your professional development to maintain your Endorsement during each renewal period.
