Parenting While Black: Black Parents & Black Mental Health

March 24 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Parenting While Black: Nurturing Legacy, Love, and Liberation is a FREE dynamic four-part virtual conversation series by, for, and among Black parents. We explore our similar and different experiences and our many different ways of being Black parents and/or raising Black children. We celebrate Black families as a cornerstone of cultural preservation and affirmation of our futures, exploring ways to strengthen bonds across generations and build lasting legacies.

Join us as we dive into a conversation about raising Black children in today’s world, and how the daily acts of parenting—both joyful and challenging—affect our mental wellbeing. We will explore how our parenting journeys carry generations of wisdom, trauma, and resilience. We will talk about strategies that consider cultural expectations and current realities to shape our parenting approaches and mental health.
