Council on Addressing Racism in the Early Years: The Mission, Vision, and Work of CARE

June 26 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

The Council on Addressing Racism in the Early
Years (CARE) was established in the fall of 2024.
CARE brings together a multidisciplinary group of
researchers, practitioners, community advocates,
and policy experts to analyze, synthesize, and
communicate what current evidence tells us
about the effects of racism on children’s everyday
lives. In this session, participants will learn about
the Racism + Resilience + Resistance Integrative
Study of Childhood Ecosystem (R 3 ISE)
framework, the underpinning of CARE by
highlighting how racism permeates the everyday
lives of young children and their families while
also emphasizing the cultural wealth families have
that can promote children’s health, learning, and
overall well-being.
