The Center for Early Relational Health is committed to supporting the well-being, growth, and expertise of the Early Relational Health workforce. We offer various learning opportunities to help professionals across a range of settings enhance their knowledge and skills. Training topics range from foundational to advanced and are aligned with the competencies for Washington’s Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Endorsement®. Continuing education units for mental health professionals and STARS hours are available for many of our workshops and trainings.

If you are a professional serving children prenatal through five in Washington State who are enrolled in Apple Health (Medicaid), the IECMH Workforce Collaborative provides free IECMH workshops and DC:0-5 trainings., as well as additional workforce supports. Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Foundational Training

This 5 session series explores core concepts in infant and early childhood mental health, including centering-caregiver child relationships, supporting early attachment, understanding when babies and young children need advanced support, and cultivating reflective practice. This is a foundational training series for early childhood professionals.

The Growing Brain

This seven-session training, developed by Zero to Three, explores early brain growth, the building blocks of social-emotional development, and the impacts of early experiences on growth and learning.

Foundations of Reflective Practice

This 3-hour workshop provides an introduction to reflective practice and the foundational values and skills that support it. Participants will learn the purpose and benefits of reflective practice, explore key skills, and identify strategies for incorporating reflection into daily experiences and practice with babies, young children, and their families/caregivers.

Introduction to Reflective Supervision for Supervisors

This training covers skills and best practices for supervisors who have participated in reflective supervision and want to support reflective practice with their staff. It is followed by a monthly reflective supervision peer group to share your journey as you implement your RS skills with your team.
