Endorsement Process

Endorsement recognizes specialized knowledge and expertise in professionals working with expecting families, babies, and young children prenatal through five and their families. It is an internationally recognized credential offered by states and countries that are part of the Alliance for the Advancement of Infant Mental Health. The Center for Early Relational Health is honored to support individuals and organizations in become endorsed.

To start your Endorsement journey, use the Endorsement Overview Table, along with the corresponding Competencies, to learn what training, skills, and experiences are needed to apply for your Endorsement credential. Scroll down to learn more about the Endorsement process and supports for individuals and organizations perusing Endorsement.

If you have questions or would like support, please email our Endorsement Coordinators or drop into their open office hours held every Monday at 12:00 pm PT. They are here to help guide you through your Endorsement journey.

Individual Endorsement

  1. Learn more about Endorsement Categories and select the Endorsement category that is a good fit for you based on your experience, education, and role.
  2. Register to start the Endorsement application process:
    • Become a member of Washington’s AIMH here: ($80 membership fee)
    • Register to complete your Endorsement application using the EASy platform. (Para completar el proceso de registro en español, siga este enlace: https://wa-aimh.myeasy.org/es) ($25 registration fee)
    • Receive an email from EASy within a few days with a temporary login and an Endorsement Welcome Packet with additional instructions for getting started
    • Once you have received the Welcome Packet, you can log into EASy here.
  3. Join an Endorsement cohort (below) or complete your application individually:
    • Document your experiences to meet your Endorsement category requirements. Throughout the process our Endorsement Coordinators will be available for support and may leave comments in your application for guidance.
  4. Submit your application:
    • Submit your completed application ($25-$400 fee, varies by Endorsement category).
    • After submission, Endorsement Coordinators will review and request necessary edits. If no adjustments are needed, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a review timeline.
  5. Application review:
    • Endorsed and trained reviewers will evaluate your application and provide feedback. This process may take up to six weeks.
  6. For Mental Health Mentor applicants:
  7. Endorsement:
    • You will receive an email confirming your Endorsement and your name will be added to the Endorsement Registry. Congratulations!
  8. Maintain your Endorsement:
    • Continue your professional development to maintain your Endorsement during each renewal period.
    • Make sure to track your trainings in EASy for a fast renewal.

Organizational Membership

We offer a relational cohort model for organizations that want to support their staff with Endorsement. This is co-designed and tailored to each organization’s needs and goals.​ Please reach out to us to learn more and begin the process.

  • $225 per year (includes four people) + $48 per additional person ​
  • Renewal is $225 per year (includes four people) + $35 per additional person​
