Sharing the Heart of Your Program: Grant Writing Approaches that Reflect Core Program Values and Practices

October 20 @ 9:30 am - 1:30 pm

oin this series of 2 half-day workshops to leverage existing program materials and wisdom for successful grant applications.

This series is for anyone who is part of a team that contributes to grant writing or if you would like to learn more about how to support grant writing in your organization. Workshops will be hands on. We invite participants to bring existing program materials to use in the grant writing process, including things like a Theory of Change or Logic Model, Program Guides or Practice Profile, and Evaluation plans.

Participants will learn:

  • How to use the many existing program materials and documents they already have to write strong grants that reflect their values and meet community priorities.
  • How to assess grant opportunities from an equity and organizational capacity perspective.
  • Practical tools, tips, and how to apply them.

Workshops will include time to write content and get feedback from peers as well as hear from grant writing capacity builders from Best Starts Technical Assistance team. This series will not cover specific federal or other very unique grants; it is focused on the grant writing process.

Reach out to Hannah Locke (hlocke@kingcounty.gov), if you’d like more information.
