ASQ: Social-Emotional Development; a Pathway to Academic Success
October 23 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Social-emotional development lays the foundation for children’s ability to learn, build relationships and succeed in school. We will both work to understand why a parent/caregiver may prioritize their child’s pre-academic skills (e.g. knowing colors, numbers, etc.) in the context of their social location and cultural contexts, and practice together understanding and explaining how strong social emotional capacities can set their children up for school readiness and academic success down the road. Participants will learn strategies for partnering with families to promote healthy development and positive academic outcomes. Register now.
