DESCRIPTION:Currently\, more than 110 million people are experiencing forced displacement worldwide due to “persecution\, conflict\, violence\, human rights violations and events seriously disturbing public order”… an estimated 40% account for children below 18 years of age (UNHCR). CARRE and the NCTSN Child Traumatic Grief/Traumatic Separation Committee invite you to a webinar on the impact of unconfirmed death on forcibly displaced children and families in the U.S. This webinar covers the background of forced displacement for children and families in the U.S.\, including trauma in the context of forced displacement; coping with unconfirmed death and loss for various forcibly displaced communities; and the adaptation and development of “Coping with Unconfirmed Death for Forcibly Displaced Children and Families: Tips for Caregivers”\, a new NCTSN resource.

DESCRIPTION:FREE for WA State mental health providers serving children birth – 5 and their families enrolled in Apple Health. \nClinical DC: 0 – 5™ training is designed to support mental health professionals in developing in-depth knowledge of the approach and content of DC:0-5™\, understanding the multi-axial system\, and utilizing the approach and system in their work with children birth through age five. \nParticipants will be supported in understanding the need for and development of a specialized diagnostic classification system for infancy and early childhood\, and adopting approaches to diagnosis and assessment that are developmentally informed\, relationship based\, and contextually and culturally grounded. \nParticipants will learn about the multi-axial approach to diagnosis as well understanding the contents of each axis including Axis I clinical disorders. Activities and case-based learning will support participants in using the many tools included in DC:0-5™. \nCEUs and a print copy of the DC:0-5 manual are provided at no cost.
