SUMMARY:(FREE) FAST-Early Childhood Live Training
DESCRIPTION:In this 2-hour training we will discuss case examples\, watch demonstrations\, and participate in role plays to learn strategies for teaching FAST-E supporting caregivers of children ages 1-4 to promote their child’s development\, strengthen positive connections\, and manage challenging behaviors. \nTo participate in this free training for WA providers\, you must be one of the following: \nIN PRIMARY CARE/MEDICAL SETTING: LMHC\, LMHCA\, LICSW\, LACSW\, LCSWA\, LMFT\, LMFTA\, Psychiatrist\, Psychologist\, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner\, PCP. \nIN PUBLIC SCHOOLS: Certified School Counselor or School Social Worker\, School Psychologist\, OR working for a behavioral health agency offering services at a school\, OR an independently licensed mental health professional and meeting primary care criteria above. \nIN LICENSED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AGENCIES: LMHC\, LMHCA\, LICSW\, LACSW\, LACSW\, LCSWA\, LMFT\, LMFTA\, Registered Agency Affiliated Counselor\, Certified Agency Affiliated Counselor\, Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor\, Psychiatrist\, Psychologist\, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. \nPrior to the live training\, you are expected to watch the pre-recorded 2-hour FAST-E training on the website at www.seattlechildrens.org/FAST under the “Training Videos” tab. \nPlease register for the waitlist even if this training is full. CARRE and the NCTSN Child Traumatic Grief/Traumatic Separation Committee invite you to a webinar on the impact of unconfirmed death on forcibly displaced children and families in the U.S. This webinar covers the background of forced displacement for children and families in the U.S.\, including trauma in the context of forced displacement; coping with unconfirmed death and loss for various forcibly displaced communities; and the adaptation and development of “Coping with Unconfirmed Death for Forcibly Displaced Children and Families: Tips for Caregivers”\, a new NCTSN resource.

DESCRIPTION:The importance of fathers and non-birthing parents has gained increasing attention in recent years\, particularly in the research community. Service agencies and providers are in a crucial position to have an impact and influence on the early relational health of families with infants/toddlers while connecting them more robustly with and within their communities. This presentation will provide three perspectives on fathers/non-birthing parents\, early relational health\, the importance of inclusion\, the father-infant relationship\, father’s perspective\, stories from the field\, foundational beginnings\, intrinsic rewards\, promotion of self-efficacy/resilience and overcoming obstacles (real or imagined). \nObjectives: \n\nName one determinant in early relational health.\nList three ways a service agency can shift to be more father/non-birthing parent friendly.\nIdentify two practices service agencies can use to promote community connections.

DESCRIPTION:This workshop addresses the importance of helping the pregnant woman achieve a healthier mental and emotional state during pregnancy in order to improve the chances that she and her child will experience a healthier relationship. DESCRIPTION:In this introductory workshop\, participants will explore the transformative power of the circle process (also known as council practice) to build connections\, establish grassroots leadership and uplift the voices and experiences of fathers in their communities and organizations. \nRooted in the traditions of restorative circles\, this session aims to provide fathers and their service providers with the tools to create supportive\, inclusive spaces for dialogue and mutual support. The session includes two fathers who will share their experiences participating in and facilitating dads’ groups using this framework.  \nBy the end of the session\, participants will be equipped with practical skills and insights to facilitate meaningful circles that foster connection and empowerment among fathers.
