ASQ – Beyond the Basics: Meaningful Conversations with Caregivers to Discover What is Below the Surface

August 21 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Part 1 of 4 | Virtual Sessions via Zoom | CEU’s Approved

This Program has been approved for 2 CEUs for Licensed Social Workers, Mental Health Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists by the Washington State Society for Clinical Social Work.

This is an ongoing series of workshops tailored to home visitors who routinely administer developmental screening tools such as the ASQ, ASQ-SE, etc. You can attend whichever interests you! We will engage in reflection and discussion about the challenges of centering the parent-child relationship while administering developmental screening. Each workshop highlights practical situations you’ll face while administering the ASQ.

ASQ Through a Cultural Lens: Exploring how family routines, cultural practices and lived experiences influence responses

In this workshop, we will focus on everyday routines, cultural values, caregiving practices and access to opportunities and how they can all influence how caregivers interpret and answer ASQ questions. This workshop examines the cultural context behind developmental screening and explores how providers can approach the ASQ with curiosity and a strength-based perspective. Register now.
